VOLVO V90
Proof that car makers do listen, as big, plush estate car returns to the UK
TESTER’S NOTE
Perceived quality inside is good, with a choice selection of aluminium, rubberised and gloss black plastic surface treatments allowing the V90 to mix comfortably with its rivals.

The return of the V90 after it was pulled from the UK market last year followed an unexpected spike in demand for estate cars, giving Volvo’s customers a choice beyond SUVs and many people a cause for celebration. And with this unexpected comeback was the arrival of subtly updated styling and a revised engine line-up.
Let’s start with the styling. There are tweaked rear lights and foglights, a reshaped front bumper, a revised front grille and new alloy designs. Otherwise, it’s as before, with that broad-shouldered stance and those instantly recognisable ‘Thor’s hammer’ headlights.
