HYUNDAI HAS REAFFIRMED its commitment to hydrogen cars, revealing the second generation of its Nexo fuel cell SUV.
Based on 2024’s Initium concept, it introduces a new ‘Art of Steel’ design language to distinguish the brand’s future FCEVs. Key features include the grid-shaped ‘H-two’ front and rear lights, and H-shaped surfaces on the front and rear bumpers.
As well as a radically different design from its predecessor, the new Nexo is longer, taller and wider, repositioning it as an alternative to batterypowered EVs such as the BMW iX3 and Tesla Model Y. The Nexo receives the same ‘connected cockpit’ dashboard as the Ioniq 5, with a pair of 12.3in displays. Traditional side mirrors are replaced by cameras.
