2023 TOPPS TIER ONE BASEBALL

2023 Topps Tier One Baseball is one of the company’s all-hits products. However, it does so by keeping the box size small. In turn, at least on the high-end scale, the price isn’t as high as some of their super-premium offerings.

Keeping with the line’s tradition, hobby boxes come with three cards. Two are autographs and the third is a memorabilia card.

2023 TOPPS TIER ONE BASEBALL CHECKLIST OVERVIEW

Tier One doesn’t have a traditional base set. Rather, it goes straight to the chase with a handful of different autograph themes. Many of these fall under one of three umbrellas: Prime Performers Autographs, youth-driven Break Out Autographs and Tier One Talent Autographs.

Joining them are Tier One Autographs, which concentrates on big names from the past and present.

All four of these sets have similar parallels: Bronze Ink (/25), Silver Ink (/10) and Gold Ink (1/1).

Base versions for Next Level Autographs and new Advanced Stats Stars are numbered to 50. These have Bronze, Silver and Gold versions also.

Acetate is used for Clear One Autographs and Dual Clear One Autographs. All of these have just 10 copies each.

Dual Autographs (/25) and Triple Autographs (/10) bring multiple signers while one-of-one Cut Signatures delve into some of baseball’s all-time greats. Cut Signature Relics can also be found.

Tier One Autograph Relics are among the most common signature memorabilia cards on the checklist. Rather than going the color route, parallels come with Dual Patch (/25) and Triple Patch (1/1) versions. Dual Tier One Autograph Relics (/10) take on a book card layout.

Ramping things up to three signatures are Tier One Sluggers Triple Autograph Relics (/10). These may be new to the product but the layout is similar to the triple auto relics that have been a longstanding feature in Topps Triple Threads.

MEMORABILIA CARDS

The 2023 Topps Tier One Baseball checklist has a mix of memorabilia. Tier One Relics are easily the most common. Available in two designs, these are in virtually every box. Like their autographed counterparts, parallels have two (/25) and three (1/1) patches. There’s also returning Tier One Legend Relics that focus on players from the past. Prodigious Patches (/10) is also back with big pieces. Some also come with autographs.

Standout (and scarce) memorabilia themes include bat knobs, bat barrels, buttons and All-Star patches. These are available signed and unsigned.
