RUSSIAN FLAG carrier Aeroflot has finalised further insurance claims with leasing companies for seven more aircraft.
The leasing firms involved in the dispute have not been named, although Aeroflot said the aircraft in question were from two individual lessors. Specific aircraft information and the precise operator of Aeroflot Group, which consists of network carriers Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines, plus low-cost subsidiary Pobeda, have also not been disclosed.
As with previous claims, ownership of the aircraft has now been transferred to Russian insurance firm NSK. This is in addition to the 98 airframes that had been handed over to NSK by the end of 2023. In recent months, the airline group has been finalising similar settlements with other leasing firms, including AerCap, BOC Aviation, SMBC Aviation Capital and CDB Aviation.
