AIR BELGIUM has taken delivery of the first of two Airbus A330-900s leased from Air Lease Corporation. The two Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-powered widebodies are set to replace a trio of former Finnair A340-300s acquired when the Belgian full-service, ‘second force’ airline had begun operations in 2018. The two A330-900s, which had initially been destined for airberlin when first ordered in 2016, have been configured with a three-class, 286-seat layout. The Airspace cabin incorporates 30 lie-flat business class seats, along with accommodation for 21 premium class and 235 economy class passengers. All seats are equipped with the latest-generation in-flight entertainment system, on-board Wi-Fi and mood lighting.
