Open event to explain simplified planning zone system

A LOCHGILPHEAD open day is to highlight changes to planning regulations for new homes.

Argyll and Bute Council is proposing simplified planning zones, which would allow certain homes to be built without the need to apply for traditional planning consent. The council believes this will make the process faster and easier for people thinking about building their own home.

A community information and feedback event will be held on Wednesday June 6 at Lochgilphead Community Centre from 1pm to 6.30pm, with presentations scheduled for 2pm and 5.30pm.
