The Kilmichael Glassary SWI met at the Glassary, Kilmartin and Ford Parish Church on Tuesday January 8, where Amanda Brown, president, welcomed six members to the first meeting of the new year.
After business, Louise Oppenheimer then encouraged the ladies to partake in some weaving. Using many varied materials at hand, Louise showed examples of her work to show what can be achieved. Louise then judged the competitions.
Results for the plain gingerbread put Charlene Munro and Betty Rhodick in first place, Amanda Brown in second and third equal Helen Rhodick and Sophie MacIver. For the knitted cushion cover, Betty Rhodick won. Tea was served by Charlene Munro and a raffle for institute funds was drawn.
