ARGYLL and Bute Council has completed an £80,000 project to replace around 600 metres of the A816 between Kintraw Farm and Salachary, south of Ardfern.
Lochgilphead-based councillor Donnie MacMillan, vice-chairman of Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands area committee, said: ‘This is excellent news. Once again our roads team has completed an excellent piece of work in time and on budget. This is a top-quality piece of work and the new surface is superb.’
The council has invested £27 million in Argyll and Bute’s road network over the past four years.
