Another brick in the wall as sea defence is restored

The gaping sinkhole that appeared on the A841 Whiting Bay Road early last month has been repaired after remedial works on the sea defence wall that underpinned it were completed.

The damage on the section of road opposite the Cooper Angus Caravan Park came about after a particularly violent storm with high tides on Tuesday April 3 breached the sea defences and caused the road to collapse

Two sections of the defensive wall were damaged during an April storm.
