The annual Save the Children summer fayre attracted a large crowd of supporters and visitors that filled Brodick Hall last week, raising a splendid total of £1,095.40.
Attracted by the large array of homebaking to enjoy with a cup of tea or to take away, the fayre was also filled with the usual assortment of stalls offering visitors the opportunity to browse the goods on sale and to try their hand at some of the fun games on offer. For a nominal fee and in the hope of winning a prize, visitors tried to guess the number of shells in a bottle and tried to pinpoint a treasure location on a map.
