Got a problem? DR RANJ SINGH and WAYNE DHESI are here to offer their advice…
Living and working in rural Wales, I struggle to meet other gay guys.
I’ve tried Tinder and Grindr but they’re empty of guys around my age — or it’s only people looking for sex. I haven’t managed to go on a date in ages and the last time I slept with a guy was at Cardiff Pride last year. I don’t have the time to travel lots and I can’t really move anywhere bigger anytime soon because of my job. What would you suggest?

WAYNE: It’s easy for guys who live in big cities to forget how hard it is for gay men in rural areas to date. The draw of city life (and with it a larger proportion of potential suitors) is often too tempting to ignore, which is why many guys choose to up sticks and make the move. The reality of being “the only gay in the village” can be pretty lonely.
