Spring Equinox Issue
I love it when the seasons change, don’t you? Last week saw the Spring Equinox, that time of the year when the sun is directly above the equator, giving us equal amounts of day light and darkness. Not just here in the UK but across the globe, 12 hours of dark and 12 hours of light. At the moment, we are getting roughly 30 extra minutes of light in the evening per week, and with the clocks going forward at the end of March, it will now be light until 8pm. Carp love this time of the year and of course so do we. Where carp fisheries have been relatively quiet over the past month, that’s all about to change. For the working, family carp angler, getting into those prime swims suddenly becomes more of a challenge.
This month, we have some articles to welcome you back on the bank, if you like many have been having a break through the recent cold snap. We also have a few last winter pieces reflecting some very successful carpers who took advantage of the quieter banks recently.
