NEW YORK southpaw Kevin Kelley was dubbed “boxing’s next little giant” before Mexico’s Alejandro Gonzalez ruined him in 10 rounds in San Antonio, Texas.
The then-unbeaten WBC featherweight champion was tipped for stardom, but the rugged Gonzalez wore him down and dropped him in the sixth and 10th before Kelley’s corner rightly pulled him out with two sessions left in the 12-rounder.
