The Armed Forces Day flag fluttered over Campbeltown last weekend. Former service personnel Alistair Kenny, Queen’s Own Highlanders, Ricky Cameron, ANSH, and Willie McMillan, Gordon Highlanders, unfurled the flag at the head of the old quay at 10am on Saturday.
Commemoration
People around the UK joined in with parades, silences and celebrations in the annual commemoration of the service of men and women in the British armed forces. This year, Scotland’s major event was in Stirling, while the UK’s biggest was in Llandudno, North Wales, attended by Prime Minister Theresa May and members of the Royal Family.
