A Campbeltown sheriff gave a fraudster six months to repay £23,000 under proceeds of crime legislation.
At a hearing last year, Joan McCallum, 47, of 19A Calton Avenue, Campbeltown pleaded guilty to obtaining payments of tax credits to the value of £29,000 by failing to report a material fact, namely that she was living with her husband Niall McCallum.
Last Thursday, sheriff Patrick Hughes also made a compliance order and said that McCallum must cooperate in the remortgage of her property if necessary to pay the confiscation order.
