A crisp autumn day with a chilling cross wind kept scores low for the Dunaverty Golf Club members competing for the November medal in an attempt to qualify for next year’s Muneroy Cup.
Out in the first group, six handicapper Keith Crawford conquered the first nine with a scratch 35 and, despite losing a ball in the burn at the 17th, came back in 35 for a scratch total of 70 and a nett score of 64.
John McKinlay and Ken MacMillan made valiant efforts to catch him but to no avail and Keith secured his place in the Muneroy Cup.
