UP CLOSE
TAFF’S AT A MASSIVE 45LB
IN THE OPPOSITE CORNER was another snag where, on my next visit, carp were present, including some of the bigger ones. After waiting very patiently for them to exit the area, I had soon waded to the main bough on the extremity of the snag, passing the rig underneath it and lowering it down onto a deeper part of the gravel shelf before creeping back to the single rod. This spot was so up close and personal, shall we say, that I didn’t dare even light the stove, for fear of spooking them.
