The prominent Jensen specialist Cropredy Bridge Cars has been acquired by CB Finance Ltd, along with the appointment of a new management team. Established in 1972, the business remains based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, and incoming executive officer Mike Cantelo and nonexecutive chairman Patrick Fleming are committed to retaining and developing the specialised craft skills there. “We’re concentrating on consolidating the business as it stands,” says Patrick.
Bob Cherry sold Cropredy Bridge Garage, which he founded in 1972, to Gama Cars, the then owner of the Jensen marque, in 2012. He initially remained with the firm as a consultant, but has since left the business entirely. The Surrey-based new owner in effect provided the funding for Mike Cantelo, Patrick Fleming and a group of other enthusiast investors to purchase the specialist. Patrick’s experience includes senior roles with Aston Martin Lagonda and Jaguar Land Rover, while Mike has a background in the luxury car and yachting industries, having also previously held senior positions at Aston Martin.
