Electronic music fans can make a pilgrimage to London’s Design Museum from 1 April. Fresh from its record-breaking run in Paris, the exhibit Electronic: From Kraftwerk To The Chemical Brothers arrives in the capital chronicling the history of electronic music from its genesis in Detroit and Chicago to Berlin and the UK. Tech, synth and club enthusiasts will be able to immerse themselves in more than 400 objects, visuals, gear and various interactive items. Highlights include a look at Jean-Michel Jarre’s studio, 3D Kraftwerk and Chemical Brothers experiences, a trip back to The Haçienda, as well as study work from pioneers like Daphne Oram and the seminal BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Gallic dance legend Laurent Garnier provides the soundtrack to the exhibition which runs until 26 July. There will also be late openings on Fridays and Saturdays for ravers.
