After the inventive electronics of second album Wounded Rhymes, Lykke Li pivoted to the slo-mo dramatics of Lana Del Rey for her Greg Kurstin-produced follow-up. Just Like A Dream and Gunshot were convincingly glamorous in their noirish mood, but it was frustrating for anyone hoping for more futurism to rival the predecessor’s Get Some. This 10th anniversary vinyl reissue adds the unreleased Midnight Shining – a song murkier and more intriguing than much of the regular album. Still, I Never Learn remains Li’s most successful LP in the UK to date.
