★★★★✩
First issued in 1990, Hollelujah was a mini-album featuring six tracks, five of which were reswizzles from Holly’s solo debut LP, Blast, plus a ‘cover’ of Handel’s Hallelujah. Holly was no stranger to the possibilities of the remix, what with Frankie Goes To Hollywood effectively creating the genre half a decade beforehand. Time has been kind to Hollelujah, as these mixes have aged better than first thought, fitting in with the post-acid dance-pop era on the cusp of the 90s. It’s good to see it finally back, and on limited (ahem) ‘golden shower’-coloured vinyl to boot.
