This is the fourth volume in a series conceived in 2006 by the late Gun Club guitarist Cypress Grove, honouring the memory of Jeffrey Lee Pierce by inviting guest artists to rework his material, not all of it completed. This collection shows the reach of Pierce, thematically and materially, with contributors ranging from Deborah Harry, in a straightforwardly affecting duet with Nick Cave, to rapper Dynamax Roberts, featured on the Def Jam metal-style track Bad America.
