“Most genres of music have an extremist wing… well, except maybe Schlager, that is! The extremity most often takes the form of using the existing ‘rules’ and overapplying them, and in the case of much electronic, rock and pop music this over applying takes the form of turning everything up to 11 and overcooking sources (pardon the pun).
