Lee Wenham with a carefully detailed switching scene, expanded from a home layout to be portable for shows. It will be at the Uckfield exhibition this month.

A large modular N layout showing a Virginian coal town, built by members of the Black Diamonds group.
It will be at the NMRA-BR annual convention in Derby.

BRAZIL BROADENED
A layout is never finished ... Mike Hyde explains how he widened the scope of his modelling to represent broad gauge (5'3"/1,600mm) more accurately in HO.
It too will be at the NMRA-BR annual convention.

ORLANDO STATION BUILDING
Trevor Smith describes in detail the construction of a signature structure on his layout, Kaley Yard. (See CM September 2025.)

MITTELSTADT
A stop-over on a route through the mountains – Chris Bart describes his extensive digitally-controlled permanent home HO layout set in central Germany.

TRIFOULOU
On the Chemin de Fer du Vivarais – Piers Milne offers an impression of the French metre gauge in Nm.

Continental Modeller

I model in the US. It is extremely interesting to see how Europeans model their trains compared to how we model ours. The model railroads chosen are always stunning examples of compactness and high levels of detailing. Reviewed 25 January 2021
