If you’re up to date with the latest season of The L Word: Generation Q then you’ll be no stranger to Paula Andrea Placido who plays Dani’s childhood friend, and love interest, Roxy. Crashing onto our screens in the Halloween episode and returning later in the series for more “drama”, fans have been getting hot under the collar for the sapphic series’ newest star. Born in the Dominican Republic but raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, at 18 she made the risky move to L.A. It paid off; she’s appeared in Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series – Hacks as Ava’s tenant and one-night stand, and in Shameless as a lesbian bartender. It is clear that Paula is set to be one of Hollywood’s queer stars. With an exciting year ahead and a role alongside Colin Farrell in Apple TV’s Sugar, she is certainly one watch.
I loved your episode on The L Word: Generation Q playing Roxy. What was the most exciting aspect of being involved for you?
