IT’S RARE that a feature film with a black, gay protagonist is even made – that Moonlight has attracted so much positive attention is even more remarkable. Winner of this year’s Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture-Drama, it tells the story of a young black man struggling to grow up in the rough Liberty City neighbourhood of Miami, and understand his sexuality.
