Breasts have long been a source of fascination and frustration, of joy and pain. A new embroidered community quilt project, called Comfort, is gathering first-hand experiences and artwork on the theme of breasts for a touring exhibition. Artist Lois Blackburn is working with a wide group of people, including breast cancer survivors, teenagers, older people, those at risk of homelessness and the trans community. Some will be stitchers already, others beginners. Comfort aims to build people’s self-esteem. Kits will be available via Etsy if you can’t take part in person. Funded by National Lottery through Arts Council England.
