RETURNING TO THE high-fantasy world of Willow was something Warwick Davis always hoped for, but never expected. While a cult fave, 1988’s Ron Howard-directed, George Lucas-conceived tale — of evil queens, pesky woodland creatures and a wannabe sorcerer dragged into a quest to rescue a portentous baby — wasn’t a box-office smash. But thanks to the streaming revolution, Willow Ufgood is back, on an all-new adventure. Speaking with Empire, Davis reflects on a career spent in distant lands, from a galaxy far, far away to the halls of Hogwarts.
You were only 17 when you made the original Willow. It must have been quite an adventure, out in the wilds of Wales and New Zealand.
