PINHEAD. PIECE OF piss, right? Get an actor, stick them in a bald cap, stick some pins in that bald cap, rasp a bit about tearing souls apart, job’s a good ’un. Far from it. When director David Bruckner sat down to think about overhauling the Hellraiser franchise for the 11th instalment (which, as is the fashion, shares a name with the first despite being ostensibly a continuation, not a remake), he knew that the character colloquially known as Pinhead — the snarling sex demon played so memorably for so long by Doug Bradley — would be front and centre.
