If you are researching ancestors who were caught on the wrong side of the law, then tracking down their criminal and personal history can be a long-winded process. There are potentially many different places to look, and some of the records are not indexed and /or not available electronically.

Andrew Campbell, a leading genealogist from the Fife Family History Society, has led an initiative to draw together many of these different records to form a database of Fife convicts and their lives.
