SNETTERTON 300

Born from an old airfield, this Norfolk based race track is a favourite with novices and pro racers alike. Great to ride and incredibly confidence inspiring, the 300 circuit at Snetterton has everything you need for a brilliant day on track.

Track Attack

YOUR GUIDE TO MASTERING THE BEST OF BRITISH CIRCUITS

Hard on the brakes on the entry into Ago’s.

1 Riches

You’ll be heading into Riches flat out and touching sixth gear no matter what bike you’re on, meaning commitment is a must. Get as close to the white line on the left as you can, before hitting the anchors at about the 300 yard board and banging back two or three gears. Let off the brakes and tip in at about the 100 yard board. Apex at the widest chunk of paint on the kerb as you get back on the gas, drift towards the middle of the track (no further) and clip the second apex at the latest possible point and get hard on the gas for the maximum drive out. Try going slow in and fast out to start with in order to build up confidence.

2 Montreal

A perfect corner for overtaking, Montreal is an incredibly tight and tricky hairpin, usually taken in first gear on the bigger bikes. Again, start by hitting the brakes at about the 300 yard board, but watch out as it is a little bumpy on entry. Tip in as late as possible for a late apex, if you’re on a fast lap, but in a race a wide line on entry is an open invitation to be passed so a tighter line can sometimes be better. Get the bike stood up as quick as possible (Dani Pedrosa style) and get your weight over the front of the bike to accelerate hard on the way out, using all the track on exit.
