Tie support structures tightly at the top with garden twine
Collect some long canes or hazel poles to create supports such as wigwams for some climbing annuals. The space it needs in the border will be based on the vigour of the plants you intend to grow. Prepare the soil for planting then firm it down well.
Push in the poles, making a triangle or circle shape, and tie the tops in with garden twine. Ensure the supports are pushed into the ground at least 30cm, so they’ll stand up to the weight of growth, especially when it gets windy.
