Bush varieties need only minimal pruning to let in light and air
Due to their low, compact shape, bush tomatoes are great for pots and small spaces. Many varieties are vigorous, early-ripening cherry tomatoes that tend to have good blight resistance or, at least, ripen before blight becomes a problem later in the season. They can be a faff to harvest compared to cordons because tomatoes can be hidden among the leaves, and they are often best grown in containers to raise them away from dirt.
