Reveals knife threat while travelling in New York
Hollywood star Bradley Cooper was held up at knifepoint on a New York subway in 2019 after letting his “guard down”.
Speaking to Dax Shepherd on the Armchair Expert podcast, the 46-year-old said the incident had taken place at 11.45am while he was wearing earphones. “I felt somebody coming up and I thought: ‘Oh, probably wants to take a photo or something.’ I look down and I see a knife.”
Bradley started running before jumping over the subway’s turnstile and hiding to take a photo of the man as he left the station. After following the man to take more photos, he reported the incident to nearby police.
“I realised I had gotten way, way too comfortable in the city. My guard was down,” he added.
