A medical-grade light therapy mask, the Lightmax Supercharged LED Mask 2.0 (£545; visit mzskin.com), has two modes: anti-ageing and acne. The first uses red and infrared light to stimulate collagen production, while the antimicrobial blue light of the second targets breakouts. My concern is blemishes, but I love that it can also help prevent lines and wrinkles.
The soft silicone and rechargeable battery mean the mask is easy to pop on during the day. After using it for the past month – for just ten minutes, four times a week – I’ve noticed a reduction in pigmentation from my previous breakouts and I think my overall complexion looks more even and less red.
