Hugh Grant is enjoying a renaissance in his screen career. Over the past few years we’ve seen him evolve from the charming and foppish lead in romcoms such as Notting Hill into spine-chilling villains such as Nicole Kidman’s murderous husband in Netflix series The Undoing and the funny – but no less wicked – ageing actor in Paddington 2.
Now making his horror debut in the film Heretic, his latest incarnation is as Mr Reed, a sinister Briton living in the States who invites two Mormon missionary sisters into his house to discuss their faith before entrapping them.
