Wearing a diamond-encrusted corset and elegantly wielding two towering pink feather fans, each nearly the size of her petite frame, Dita Von Teese stands with signature poise as Lady Luck in Diamonds and Dust, now showing at London’s new Emerald Theatre.
The cowboy cabaret is a glittering spectacle of cirque, stunts and divas, conceived by Dita and the live entertainer Tosca Rivola, who at the exclusive preview attended by hello! glided around a cyr wheel with balletic finesse. Leading the cast as the cabaret vedette is Steps star Faye Tozer, who plays Miss Kitty LeRoy, a gun-slinging saloon madam with a taste for theatrics.
Dita, 54, originally from Michigan, made her mark on the London scene in the early 2000s. Her now iconic martini glass routine cemented her burlesque stardom – and it was during those years that she became close friends with the make-up artist and beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury MBE, the show’s official beauty partner.
