Not since childhood have supplements been quite so appealing. As kids, our parents cajoled us into taking our vitamins via teddy-shaped SuperTed tablets and smiley-faced Bassetts Soft and Chewies. Now we’re being persuaded to pop our pills via attractive packaging and elevated branding.
No longer confined to bathroom cupboards or bedside drawers, the latest wave of supplements have pride of place on our desks, often appearing in the social media posts of the most aspirational wellness influencers, sending us mere mortals into overdrive to add them to our routines.
A case in point is You’re Looking Well’s sunshine-yellow jars, or Diome and Artah’s elevated, minimalist designs. “We’re in an era where wellness is no longer just functional – it’s emotional, aesthetic, essential and deeply personal,” says Sally Lefever-Bell, founder of the tailored supplement service W-Wellness.
