Stand still
Working to overcome mounting problems, rather than just ignoring them, will make all aspects of riding safer for both you and your horse. Not only will it take the stress out of mounting, but training your horse to stand still when you ask him will also translate to other aspects of life, such as standing for the farrier or outside the horsebox or trailer at a show.
