Speakers at the National Equine Forum (NEF) concluded that the arms of the equine industry must work together to overcome the horse transport and goods export hurdles imposed by Brexit, which have caused delays and disruption since the UK left the single market on 1 January.
According to speakers at the NEF, the impact of Brexit has included upscaled bureaucracy, with the time and cost involved in exporting goods and travelling horses to the EU significantly increased.
