The 2021 London International Horse Show marked a big tick off the bucket list for British showjumping’s rising star, Harry Charles – team stalwart, Peter Charles’ son. Having already competed for his country at the Olympic Games and European Championships earlier in the year, the 22-year-old had his biggest career highlight to date on home turf. Securing two technically brilliant double clears at break-neck speed, Harry and his mare, Stardust, nabbed first place in the World Cup qualifier and the Grand Prix.
After beating some legendary names, the young rider has truly earned his place on the international stage. A delighted Harry said: “’I’ve grown up watching this show every year and it’s been one of my dreams to win the World Cup in London!”
