A North Lanarkshire church is brightening up its high street after setting its community a challenge.
Bellshill Central Parish Church, which sits on the town’s Main Street, has invited local people to craft a sign of colourful hope and attach it to the church railings while passing during their daily exercise. An array of knitted hearts and crosses quickly appeared, and the church is hoping the symbols will spread to create ‘a wash of colour streaming down Main Street’.
