This Raspberry Pi thing is all getting very serious. Clearly, serious people need serious standards and things don’t get more serious than OpenVX. Developed by The Khronos Group - no, it’s not a cabal of evil supervillains - this is the serious industry group that developed the seriously low-level GPU API Vulkan and the GPGPU compute OpenCL library.
Everyone’s got to have a fancy logo.
Its latest development is to bring OpenVX 1.3 to the Raspberry Pi. This is an open source, industry standard cross-platform library that accelerates computer vision applications. It enables developers to more easily create portable code that’s power efficient… and now it can be run on the Raspberry Pi.
