The power of a stitching community
Sewing has long been seen as a solitary hobby – just you, your machine, and a growing pile of fabric waiting to be transformed. But what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if you could share your passion, celebrate your wins, and find encouragement when a tricky seam refuses to behave? That’s exactly why I created threadysetgo.com – a warm, welcoming space where sewists from all over the world can connect, learn, and sew together.
I learned to sew at a young age, being fascinated watching my Mum turn a piece of fabric into a dress I could wear the very next day, but after taking textiles as a GCSE I actually didn’t look to sewing as a hobby until I was in my 20s and had an interest in vintage fashion. Then along came the sewing blogs and, of course, The Great British Sewing Bee and I was hooked.
