Remember Dashboard? First introduced with OS X 10.4 Tiger and dropped forever with macOS 10.15 Catalina, it gave quick and easy access to mini-applications called ‘widgets’. By default, there was a Clock widget for telling the time, a simple Calculator, a Calendar widget that showed today’s date and month, and a Weather widget for forecasts. You could also add a Dictionary, iTunes controller, Address Book, Stickies, a Stocks ticker and more.
