Student nurses should make time for charity

How do you find the time with all your uni commitments to also fundraise?

Recently a housemate and fellow healthcare student asked me this. I think she was referring to the assignments, placements, society commitments, and fundraising events I juggle throughout the year, alongside what I call my ‘highfunctioning’ depression. This was a question I struggled to answer.

Being passionate about eradicating the silent shame often associated with mental health, I fundraise for charities that help those struggling with mental health issues. Last year this was PAPYRUS, whose mission is to reduce young suicide.
