Mini World Magazine No.267 Practical Sophistication Back Issue

Despite Alec Issigonis' intentions of it being used as the district
nurse's runaround, the Mini was seen as a useful and affordable
motorsport tool right from its launch. It was the perfect clubman
car as it could be used to drive to work in the week and raced
or rallied at the weekend. There was no stopping it, and this was a
couple of years before the Cooper models were launched! Two men
who have fully embraced this era of Mini's past are MiniWorld
contributor George Shackleton and his friend David Woodhouse
whose Minis feature in this issue. The modifications and styling
of their Speedwell Blue Mk1 Minis epitomise that era. They
had great fun on our photoshoot of their Minis. They even
dressed up in period clothes to add to the atmosphere of the feature. We hope you like the photos.
Other Minis featured inside include a beautifully restored
Woody that was converted by Radford in the 1960s, a
modified 1380 City E and a Vauxhall-engined 1275GT.
It's the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Moke and we
bring you fantastic archive photos of prototype Mokes being
tested by the military, plus there's a fantastic Road Trip adventure
from members of the Mini Owners Club of Southern Africa who
travelled 5073 miles in their Minis around South Africa.
AC Dodd's technical feature shows you
what to look out for when building a budget
MPi gearbox. Mini show content includes
info on Beaulieu National Mini Cooper
Day and reviews of Surrey Hills Mini Run,
April's Mini Run and Silly Mini Weekend.
I hope you enjoy the issue.

Just getting back into the Mini experience after 40 years or so away. I love the magazine so far, lots of variety . I have only gotten into a few issues but I feel like it will get even better the more of them I read.
Thank you.
