In an age of increasing environmental awareness amidst climate change, consumers are today ever more conscious of their carbon footprints. And all around the developed world – at least in those countries with warmer climes – no other common household and workplace appliance is as frequently energy intensive as the regular air conditioning unit. However, customers who are keen to keep their places of business comfortable without damaging the environment have long turned to Japanese firm NIP- PON PMAC, which for more than 40 years has been a pioneer in the development of highly efficient air conditioning systems using heat pump technology.
“The PMAC system, which stands for Prefabricated Module Air Conditioning, is an environmentally friendly system that accepts renewable energy,” explains Shiro Okazaki, the company president. “It is a heat pump air conditioner that collects energy from water and processes it in a single unit. Today, with the expansion of water heat sources in the low temperature range, other renewable energies such as geothermal heat and groundwater can also be used for these heating and cooling solutions.”
