A man whose ‘frustration snowballed’ when chasing wages he claimed he was owed was fined a total of £1,150 at Oban Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Sheriff John Herald told Daniel Guy, 44, of 114 George Street, Oban: ‘I accept you had a grievance but you did not go about it the right way, did you?’
Guy, who had been working as a fencing contractor, admitted sending text messages to his former boss that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character, which included threats of violence; driving a motor vehicle without insurance; destroying or damaging a television and shelf; and driving a quad bike without reasonable consideration and excessive speed, colliding with the side of the roadway.
