Be Charlotte checks out the Tiree Music Festival site from the sea ahead of her headline gig.
Tiree is bracing itself for this year’s invasion of festival-goers. And this weekend’s event is another sell-out, with organisers posting on Facebook on Tuesday: ‘nine successive sell outs in nine years – thank you so much to everyone for the incredible support! Safe travels to Tiree!’ Scottish singer-songwriter Be Charlotte and The Hoosiers are among the headline artists. Early bird tickets for in-demand Tiree Music Festival, which starts tomorrow Friday July 13, sold out in less than 48 hours in November. A new Elements programme will ensure there is something for the whole family to enjoy, involving sun, sand, wind and water. Also new to the multiaward- winning event will be the outdoor Elevate Stage, supported by the Year of Young People 2018, showcasing Scottish music scene talent, focusing on up-and-coming artists. See next week’s Oban Times for full report and photographs.
